We believe that one of the Church's most important callings is to help and encourage one another to find way to express our relationship with the Creator. This happened at our Church Picnic in June 2003 with the help of Jacque Gerdes and Karla Reerslev who crafted a wooden cross from a pattern taken from our 100th Anniversary napkins. They divided the cross into squares and each Sunday School child paint a square of their own, with the help from our older youth who painted the border. The cross, which hangs in our sanctuary, will give us joy as we worship throughout the year. It is a creative expression of the faith of our young people whose presence and creativity is important to all.
